Happy New Year

Just wanted to wish all Eaglettes, Families, Alumni, and Posse Members a very Happy New Years!  

I am reminded of my first year coaching when I got to spend New Years with the Eaglettes.  I am recalling Disney World with 70,000 people.  Not cool – the horn blowers that were passed out at 5:00 pm!  Super cool – Fireworks at Disney World.  They surrounded the park!  It was fabulous!  Oh the memories!

May you count all of your blessings from this past year and be grateful.  May you look forward to many more blessings this upcoming year!  2008 has been great.  2009 will be super fine! :)

Basketball Warm Up Schedule

January Calendar

Get excited!  With the New Office 2007, I am now able to update the calendars online.  So the January calendar is the updated!  WAHOO! :)  I don’t know if you are as excited as I am, but this is good news.

I did add what we will be performing at the basketball games to the calendar.  Of course, it always could change (as life is plan B, right :) but that is the plan right now!

Bad news, I made another mistake in the basketball calendar.  We need to add 2 games in January (which are on the updated calendar online)
-Wednesday, January 21 (Girls game vs BVW)
-Tuesday, January 27 (Boys game vs JC Harmon)
This was accidentally left of your blue calendars, so please add this ASAP!  Thank you and I am terribly sorry!

Let me know if you have any questions.  When I pass out the new months calendar, I will also updae online.  I am working on February and will get it to you soon!

Videos

Hey girls.  Please check out the videos posted under competition prep.  There are 2 great comparisons.  One is what the judges will be seeing and Two is what the crowd will be seeing.  Please watch for personal and team corrections before Friday.  It helps to write down things that you see.  It also helps to work on areas as you watch and physically fix the corrections.  Repetition is also important.  Practice over and over.  We will use this page for videos and notes this month to help get us ready for the big weekends ahead.  Please take advantage!

XMas Break Practices

Hey girls.  Hope you are enjoying your break.  Just wanted to remind you that we will always go off the updated PRINTED calendar that I give you.  We do have 3 practices before school starts again

Friday, January 2 – Auditions for Team and Additional Routines
Monday, January 5
Tuesday, January 6

All pracices will be at North from 9:00-12:00.  Start in the South gym and we will go from there.

Please weare that day’s outfit.  You MUST have tennis shoes and jazz/pedinis.  Don’t forget your silver poms. 

Remember, this is competition crunch time.  We need to work together to be on top of everything.  We must have the intensity, focus, and discipline.  That begins with being at practice early, planning ahead, and having all of your items needed for the most succesful practice.  That also means working outside of practice.  Make sure that you are conditioning, stretching, and practicing this week.

Hello girls!  I hope you had a good day at school.  First off, way to go this morning!  I am very proud of you, learning a whole new routine!  I have uploaded it to the website, so please review it before tomorrow.  Please go over all routines.  We’ve made a lot of progress but you have to keep it up to date each day!

Please check the announcements for everything you need.  (Hair and attire are specific).  I forgot to put on the announcements to bring your additional routine music tomorrow.  DO NOT FORGET.  I would also suggest practicing your additional routines during the break time between school and practice.  Tomorrow is the deciding factor on additional routines.
