Officer Meeting

There is an officer meeting on the calendar for this Wednesday at 3:30.  I know that time does not work for everyone.  Could we do 7:30 Wednesday or Friday morning or Thursday after school?  Let me know ASAP!  We need to meet this week about some upcoming events!  Thank you!

Tuesday’s Basketball Game

Hey girls!  I forgot to talk about the basketball game this morning.  Don’t forget tomorrow we have a basketball game.  Here is what you need to know…

Tomorrow Morning:  Report at 7:50 in warm ups (instead of comfy clothes).   Do not be late.

Warm Ups:  Netted with We Are ONE t-shirt and WHITE tennis shoes.

Game Report time:  6:00 (We only have one game)

Performance:  New Jazz (Don’t forget white chokers, gloves, and rhinestone hair clips.  Also the typical silver poms, Eaglette black bag, etc)

5 Star Success

“Success isn’t something that happens suddenly on the performance floor when the music starts and the crowds roar. Successis something that builds physically and mentally EVERY day that you train and EVERY night that you dream”

What a successful weekend! It didn’t just happen when you walked on the floor. It was not just luck. It was all the hard work, heart, and soul you have put into this team, your coaches, and each other. I could not be more pleased or more proud. The amount of pride I felt every time you took the floor was tripled every time you left. The amount of happiness I felt every time I heard the word please or thank you was tripled by the positive attitudes all day long. You represented Olathe North and the Eaglettes above and beyond. As I watched on and off the floor on Saturday, I was humbled! I couldn’t have asked for more or dreamed of anything better! Thank you for making our first competition MAGNIFICENT! I don’t know about you, but I had a blast and I want to do that again! Do you have it in you for another weekend? Can we step it up and raise the bar even higher? I know you can! Kansas Spectacular, here we come! LOOK OUT FOR US! I am so proud of every single one of you. I am so lucky to have you all in my life. I am so thankful to be your coach!

Some of my many highlights…
-The additional routines! From duets to solos to trios to ensembles, everyone stepped it up! I thought Olathe North was represented wonderfully! It was a great start and I can’t wait to see what happens this next weekend after everyone works even harder this week!
-Lyrical…You looked like angels in your wings!
-Pom…I have never seen such energy and sharpness! Holy cow! You blew me away! And that running man energy…WATCH OUT!   Katie Kenton’s tears at the end J reminded me just how special that Eaglette feeling is!  Not many people get to experience it, but boy there is nothing else like it!
-Hip Hop…I could feel the energy from you.  I thought you were going to touch the ceiling on “Tearing up my heart”!  I know Kristin could feel it from New York and boy was she proud too!
-Jazz…can I just say high ponies equal Awesome! :) The energy and excitement I felt around the room was contagious. You lit up the floor and seemed to bring happiness to everyone in the room. You couldn’t help but clap along!
-Novelty…I really didn’t know what to expect, but the word that comes to mind is absolutely precious!  You brought the showmanship, the singing skills, you ended the day as strong as you started the day!
-There are so many more! That’s just a start!

Please give a BIG thank you to…
-Your Parents for the food, the props, the decorated locker room, the rhinestoning and discing, sitting in the hard bleachers all day long, for financially supporting you, emotionally supporting you, the list goes on.  We are so lucky and so blessed!  Give them a big hug and I love you!
-The Officers for everything they do for you and the coaches.  Thank you for not only the gifts, but the wonderful leadership.
-The Assistant Coaches because we are beyond so lucky to have them.  What they put into you girls and this team is way beyond their job description.  They care so much about you and this team and it is evident in everything that they do.

Please bring your Novelty costume and grade cards Tuesday morning!  Don’t forget we are meeting at 7:45 in regular clothes!  Make sure you have a writing utensil!

The announcements are posted under Eaglettes.  I am working to upload videos.

FYI – My e-mail is not working right now.  It hasn’t been since Friday.  I was able to get on it at school today briefly, but that is it.  Just wanted to let you know.  Hopefully they will get it worked out soon.  You can always e-mail me at ksusaramarie@hotmail.com.

MONDAY:

Prior to this morning:  Review all cleaning and practice routines

8:55                 Be at North, ready to go, focused

(Numbers are called at 9:00.  You need to be in line, ready to go.)

9:00-12:00       Practice at North

• Wear Monday’s outfit
• Bring in all additional routine music
• Bring in hip hop costumes
• Bring in wings (if haven’t already)
• Bring in all items needed for practice (dance shoes, tennis shoes, poms, notebook / writing utensil, etc)
• If you have your additional costumes and have not yet brought it in, please do so.  If not bring it in ASAP.  All attire must have coaches stamp of approval.
• I feel like there was another item you needed to bring in, but cannot remember.  If you think of it, please let met know.

12:00   Watch last time and meet with Snake, Belief, and Sophomores

12:00-?  Additional routines need to be practicing.  Take advantage of the time and space.  Especially before the grind of school adds in. 

Intensity is KEY!  Come focused and ready to go.  Lets start the week off in the right direction.  Lets use the entire practice to better ourselves!  12 DAYS!!
