I get an e-mail from The Daily Love every day…hence the Daily Love! :) Here is the one I got yesterday! It got me motivated…hopefully it will do the same for you!
Here it is! 2012! The year that has been talked about for a long time now! And here we are, on the first day of this New Year! It’s SO exciting! It’s true that we can change at any time, but I really love using the momentum and symbolism of the New Year to bring about a whole new wave of change.
We seem always want to wait for some sign, some moment of inspiration or some momentous occasion to change – well – here is that moment. As we step into a brand new year, we have the opportunity to create a new life, a better life, a life filled with being of service to others and in return being served by The Uni-verse in miraculous ways!
This is a year where we have the opportunity to step into our power by loving ourselves completely, flaws and all, and use that Love as energy and fuel to give away to others.
As we step into 2012 wide-awake and a part of the awesome, thriving and powerful Daily Love community, we know that we are co-creators with The Uni-verse. We know that we are not victims and that we want to begin to create relationships and life circumstances that we create based on bonding over our power, not our wounds. We desire to know that we are stronger than our deepest fears, not by ignoring them, but by having the courage, strength and emotional fitness to get through them triumphant.
This is the year that we set big goals and then ask ourselves, “Who do I have to become to achieve these goals?”. This day, New Year’s Day is a symbolic day of rebirth and, if we allow the energy of the day to speak to us, we are reminded that, yes, indeed I am made new today! Yes, indeed – the past does not define me. Yes, indeed, the best is yet to come! Yes, indeed, the Uni-verse is working FOR me and never against me. Yes, indeed, I choose to see Grace in every moment! Yes, indeed, today is the beginning of a new era in my life! And I plan to take baby steps once a day, every day and see that in one year from now I can travel great distances, not by mere will power, but through persistence, facing fears and a little bit of Grace.
What kind of year would you like 2012 to be? There are many great prophecies about this, but the truth is – this year will be what we make it to be. Or, this year will be what we choose to become. Do you want to bring the old stories of the past with you? Or do you want to begin, today, telling a new story and taking a new action? I’m not talking about massive change through will; I’m talking about subtle daily changes that add up to and create a massive amount of change and momentum over time.
Can you take one step, every day this year, outside of your comfort zone? Can you have just a few moments of courage once a day? Can you vow to love yourself as much as you love the thing you love most? And then give that love away? Can you show up this year, with your Heart open, and let go of the outcome?
What do you want 2012 to be? And who do YOU have to become to make it so?
Here’s to a wonderful, bright, brand new year that gives us not what we want, but what we need – so that we can become the person The Uni-verse created us to be! May your 2012 be filled with courage and Grace!
