For all Soloists…

Hello everyone. I got this information about an upcoming competion and wanted to pass it on.  It is a wonderful opportunity to dance your solo again.  Let me know if you are interested!  (The reason it was sent to me is because there is going to be a drill team category this year.)

Project Search Competition - go to http://www.seamlessdance.com/ and go to upcoming events

Here are the main ideas of the competition:

-each entry is only $50 (3 solos max)
-all money goes to charity (Seamless DAnce theater)
-we are awarding a $500 scholarship based on essay, NOT on their solos. Each dancer entered in competition will be able to write essay. Scholarship can be used for anything dance related and checks will be paid to studio or school.
-top 20 13&over get to participate in a professional audition!
-top 2 winners of audition score & solo score will perform with Seamless in their professional show in May and July! What a learning experience!
-top 12&under will be invited to do their solo at our children’s performance on Friday, May 4th! They also get to participate in the Q&A session with the children after the show!

I really hope you will encourage your students to compete at our competition. We feel as if we are giving away an experience of a lifetime to 3 dancers, as well as give away a $500 scholarship! No other competition is doing that, let alone your money is going to raise awareness of dance! Please let me know if you have any questions!

Hey there.  I hope everyone is enjoying their well deserved day off.  Make sure you rest up today because we have a BIG week!  The announcements are posted!  Please read carefully!  Also check back daily because there will be lots of updates!  The final schedule will not be released until Tuesday!  I’ll let you know as soon as I have it!  Please make sure to do your corrections from the basketball performances!  You girls have worked hard, lets sprint to the finish line and get ready to have an INCREDIBLE weekend!  Remember the goals we talked about last week!  Be focused on those goals at every practice!  Please also be taking care of yourself this week!  Do everything you can to keep yourself healthy (or get back healthy!)  Sending feel good and healthy vibes to everyone.  Let me know if you have any questions!  We’re ready for this!  Lets have an INCREDIBLE week!  Love you girls!

Hello everyone!  Hope you are having a relaxing Sunday and enjoying your day off.  I have posted the performance videos from Friday.  These performances are a huge stepping stone for competition, which is less than a week today.  It is CRITICAL for everyone to watch (multiple times) and comment corrections.  Do corrections personally and for the team.  Please do this BEFORE Monday.  If you cannot comment, write them out and turn them in first thing on Monday.  Make sure to include your name in the comment.  Please read everyone else’s comments and apply to yourself.  Also, when we are practicing, it is CRITICAL that you think about these corrections and FIX them!!   Friday was a great starting point…we want to be better at competition!  Include positive comments and shout outs as well!  This is it…time for the final push!  You want to be sitting back a week from now thinking you could not have done anything differently.  NO REGRETS!!
