2.26 Update

Hello girlies!  Hope you enjoyed your weekend!  Hope you are still feeling that crowd excitedment from Friday night!  It was amazing! :)  Just wanted to let you know that I have updated the announcements.  Please read them carefully.  (There is something important for tomorrow!)  There are some things happening this week that are a little different than planned!  I have also updated videos.  Friday’s performances along with the workshop combinations are under Videos from the main page.  Spring Show small groups are under eaglettes / video prep / spring show prep.  Check them out!  I’ve also updated the spring show bio sheet under documents!  Let me know if you have any questions!  We have 2 weeks left until Spring Break!  Lets make the most of it!  Love you girls to the moon and back!

2.22 Update

Hey girlies!  Hope you had a great Wednesday!  Did you hear the announcment at the end of school?!?!  Dr. Heinen is giving away 200 free tickets and 90 free t-shirts to Friday’s game!  I have a feeling there is going to be a HUGE turnout!  How exciting for us to end our basketball season this way, especially for our Seniors!!  Woot woot!  That means both JV and Varsity need to have incredible practices tomorrow!  Bring the FIRE and INTENSITY!

A few reminders for Thursday:

• Varsity, your video corrections are due on youtube.  Do them and read everyone elses.  We MUST push to be improve.  It is going to be a HUGE performance on Friday!
• JV, watch hip hop from competition…what do you need to do?  What does the team need to do?  We have not worked on this in a while and it is a HUGE performance!
• Everyone wear YELLOW tomorrow.  It is required.  Make sure to show me for points…especially Varsity since I will not see you!
• JV be down in the aux. gym ready to go by 8:15.  We have a lot to do, so be read to go!
• We have Freshmen Olympics so I will be out of my room during ART, so you cannot come to my room tomorrow.   Sorry!  You can still come in for first lunch for our Spring Show watching party!
• Don’t forget it’s Thankful Thursday.  Bring your notebook / folders both Varsity and JV
• I’m looking for outgoing, coordinated boys willing to come in early in the morning and next Saturday to dance.  Give me names!  The sooner the better!
• Varsity, bring hip hop tennis shoes and a big shirt for after school. Make sure you also have your jazz shoes too!
• Juniors, make sure you have done what I asked!
• Seniors, make sure you have given your parents your letter.  Also, make sure you have given me your bio.
• LJ, if you have a chance, can you convert that song to a CD?  I didn’t give you a CD today, but I can give you one tomorrow!  Thanks!
• Lindsey and Lauren, plan to stay after practice tomorrow.  Thanks!  (If you need ART time together, let me know and we’ll try to figure something out.)

The Daily Love

I get e-mails from The Daily Love.  I always love the message.  I wanted to share a thought for the day…

When we take time to actually understand people, our lives will change. There seems to be a theme in many of my clients lives lately, where they will complain about someone – and make them wrong for what they are thinking or how they are feeling.

Let me tell it to you straight – YOUR EMOTIONS ARE VALID AND REAL! Don’t let ANYONE tell you otherwise!

When we begin to have respect for the thoughts of others and we begin to cherish the feelings of others, as we do our own – we step into a larger world. Think about it. If you made a list of all your character defects – and saw that part of yourself loud and clear, would you say that even though you know you are that way, you let yourself off the hook? Well, then let us see others with Love and compassion and let them off the hook, too.

This doesn’t mean we have to tolerate abuse or anything like that, but it does mean that we can choose to see and encourage the best in others. And when we do that, a strange thing starts to happen – the best of who they are begins to emerge.

If we are constantly looking for what’s wrong, if we are constantly trying to see how someone messed up – we miss the miracle and we miss the blessing that is his or her presence in our life.

So when it comes to other people – I have a question, and answer honestly… What are you looking for in them? Are you looking for what’s right? Are you seeing them as doing the best that they can – are you giving compassion to them at the same level that you give to yourself or those that you Love?

AND – if you feel that other people are only looking for what’s wrong in you – can you send them Love and Compassion because you know that this is nothing but a projection of how they feel about themselves and has NOTHING to do with you? This is how we are being called to see the world – with the eyes of Love. We see the innocence; we see the pain of others and we do not take it personally because we know it is just a part of their projection. And, we know that we also project onto others, so we do our best to stop that and to send only Love. Sometimes, you have to send Love from a distance, but send Love anyway!

Do you have the courage to see life this way? Can you let go of the past hurts and step into the brandnew-ness of this now moment? Can you feel the Love within you that is dying to express and know that when it is expressed it will be returned to you 100-fold?

2.20 Update

Hello everyone.  Hope you are enjoying the long weekend! :)  And just think, only 3 more weeks until Spring Break!  Woot woot!  We have a fairly slow week this week that ends with a HUGE night on Friday night!  We also want to use this week to be getting us that much closer to our incredible spring show.  I’ve updated the announcements and uploaded Friday’s performance video (under video prep).  I left off something very important…don’t forget Sunday is Kristina Aulick’s birthday! :)  Let me know if you have any questions!  Love you girls!

2.12 Update

Hey girlies!  Hope you have enjoyed a wonderful long weekend!  I hope you all had a chance to rest and feel refreshed!  I hope you got to spend time with people you love and do things that bring you joy!  I am excited to see my girls tomorrow!  I have missed you!!  Get excited for this week!  We have some fun things happening….Team pictures, Basketball Game, Pep Assembly, Workshop!  It is going to be a great week!  I have posted the announcements!  There are a lot of details you need to know!  I would recommend printing them off and taking it day by day!  There are things due, things you need to know!  Please make sure you take care of it all!   We also have some new things we are trying this week starting with Marvelous YOU!!!  Enjoy tonight!  I hope you are watching the Grammy Awards!  There will be beautiful dresses and great performances!  RIP  Whitney Houston!  :(

Love you girls to the moon and back!  Can’t wait to see you!  Just think you have next Monday off and then onlly a few weeks until Spring Break!!! :)  Life is good!  XOXO

2.5 Update

Hey girlies!  Happy Super Bowl Sunday!   Hope you enjoyed the rest of your weekend!  I also hope you experienced the true joy of serving others on Saturday!  You did such a great job at our workshop!  You really made our special guests feel special!  You were awesome and I am so proud of you!

2.1 Update

Hello everyone!  Hope you are having a marvelous week!  It has been so awesome to see the Varsity team creating 2 awesome routines.  It has been so great to have time to spend on technique with the junior varsity!  I am getting more and more excited for Spring Show!  I’m even having dreams about it! :)  Here are a few things for tomorrow…

• Get excited for Eaglette Night at the Musical.  If you can, please please please bring me $6 tomorrow morning to puchase our tickets.  I already got them because I wanted us to be able to sit together (which we are) and wanted you to pay the cheaper price.  If you could bring me your money in the morning it would be a huge help!  Change in report time…meet in the lobby 6:45.  Remember to look nice, no t-shirts / sweatshirts /etc.  We are going to have so much fun!  Good luck to our Eaglettes, Lindsay and Brennan, and former Eaglette, Callie!  We’ll be cheering you on! :)  Can’t wait to spend a fun evening with all of you!  Varsity, enjoy another week of no practice! :) 
• Officers, don’t forget our meeting right after school.
• I need grade updates if you have not turned it in or if your grade is below a C.  You will not perform on Friday otherwise.
• Still missing a few garment bags!  Please bring them back!
